What is a Worldview?

"A worldview is simply the way we think the world works, and how we fit into it.  Everyone has a worldview, though most people are not aware of it.  Understanding these worldviews is vitally important, because they shape our thoughts, attitudes, and actions." (Rick Warren, Chuck Colson; Wide Angle Study Guide pg.10)

Everything you think about in life is shaped by your worldview.  It determines your view on God, yourself and other people.  It determines how you think about relationships, your time, and your money.  Do you know how your worldview is shaped on such key issues as truth, tolerance, terrorism, reconciliation, and the purpose of life?

During the coming weeks our Life Groups will be in the process of understanding, tearing down and rebuilding our worldviews.  By examining worldviews as they relate to the most important questions of our day we will be able to identify what affects us as well as how we effect the world around us.  Regardless of your worldview, it will attempt to answer the following four questions:
  1. Where did I come from?
  2. Why is the world such a mess?
  3. Is there a solution?
  4. What is my purpose?
Pastor Craig's sermons will provide the foundation for our weekly Life Group sessions as we engage our minds to determine if our worldview lines up with a Biblical truth.  Check back weekly to engage with other Life Group participants, to see video and open discussions about the practical aspects of living out a Biblical worldview.
